Brian enjoyed most of his life in Danbury, but was born in Wisconsin the son of the late William and Verona Rinelli. He attended elementary, high school and college in Wisconsin. Though Brian lived elsewhere eventually settling in Connecticut, he remained a proud Wisconsinite his entire life.
In the early 1960’s Brian graduated from the University of Wisconsin, got married, started a family and served his country in the Vietnam War where he received the Soldier’s Medal. Upon his return, Brian launched a career in the paper products industry. Focusing on logistics, he first worked for the American Can Company and then others.
Brian was a long time member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield,Ct. He sang in the choir, participated in the hand bell choir, and above all, ran the Youth Group for many years. This was his pride and joy. He loved working with the kids doing projects, outings and camping trips. Brian had a boat on Candlewood Lake and was a member of the Power Squadron. Of course, he was a life-long fan of the Green Bay Packers and even has a share of stock in the team to prove it.
Surviving members of the family include sisters Myra and Cara and brother William, his sons David, John and Jason, his son’s partner Christine and son’s ex-wife Petra, grandchildren Nathaniel, Liam, Max and Nicolas and nieces Deanna, Amy, Haley and Regina. Brian also leaves behind many good friends.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held in the Spring.
