Thomas was a 2007 graduate of NFHS. He earned his Associate’s degree from Lackawanna College, and his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Marywood University.
Thomas was passionate about sports and was an avid Giants and NY Mets fan. He was an All-State football player in high school and captain of his football team. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Thomas knew he had a kind, generous heart. Thomas dedicated his life to loving his friends and family and was always willing to extend a helping hand. He celebrated the joy found in everyday things and always made time for those he loved. He would want us to remember there is no shame in struggling, and if you need help just ask.
Thomas is survived by his loving parents and his three sisters he adored, Megan, Kayla, and Keri. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Robert and Joyce Swanhart, of New Fairfield, his paternal grandfather, Joseph John Ford, of Danbury, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his loving girlfriend Brittany Spencer.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Dianna Ford and his paternal uncle, Joseph John Ford Jr.
His family will be accepting condolences Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 5:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday June 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor, New Fairfield, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Thomas’ name to the herrenproject.org or the newtownparentconnection.org.
Thomas will remain forever in our hearts. We know he is living in God’s grace. We love and miss you... until we meet again — Rest in peace our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
