Ursula Christa Forberger, age 80, of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2023. Ursula “Urs” was born on August 14, 1942, to Hans and Martha Pahl in Ulm, Germany. After the war, the family emigrated to the United States and settled in Danbury. She attended local schools and graduated from Western Connecticut State University. The family was active in the Arion Singing Society which held its roots in the German heritage and community. This is where she met her husband, Mat.
Ursula was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother “Oma”. Urs went on to have a successful tax accounting business for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Arion Singing Society, a member of the Edelweiss Schuhplattlers, and President of AARP, Chapter 1847. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, camping, and crafting. She loved being outside and enjoying her flower gardens.
Ursula was predeceased by her husband, Mat of 59 years. She is survived by her daughter, Christine White, husband Dean; grandson, Dean and wife Danielle; daughter, Monika Simonelli, Paul Furniss and Hannah. She is also survived by her brother, Siegfried Pahl, and wife Sonja; and sister Ellen Schlafman & many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Green Funeral Home. Visitation is 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a brief Service.
