Born in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Roland and Anna Phillips, Bob was a graduate of Staples High School, Westport, CT and served in the United States Army Intelligence Corp. Then his work in the defense industry brought him and his family to Portsmouth RI in 1974 where they raised their children until moving to Dartmouth, MA in 2009. He was an avid automobile and motorcycle enthusiast who also enjoyed boating, kayaking and gardening. Bob had a zest for life and very much enjoyed being around friends and family and making us all laugh with his great sense of humor.
Bob was loved by and loved his family dearly. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father who always put family first. Bob is survived by his loving wife Celeste, his sons, David Phillips of Portsmouth, RI and Mark Phillips and his wife Wei Shen of Brookfield, WI; his four granddaughters, Mia, Camryn, Olivia and Anna Phillips; his sister, Beverly Krasner and her husband Fred of Medford, Oregon; and a brother in-law Vincent Paolizzi of Ocean City, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
