Barbara was born in Halifax on February 1, 1935, the elder daughter of the late Myrtle (Sheehan) and Edmund Landry. She attended school at St. Thomas Aquinas and the Convent of the Sacred Heart. She received a degree in Secretarial Science from Mount Saint Vincent University and thereafter worked several years as a secretary at the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre before returning to the Mount for her Education Degree. She taught with the Dartmouth School Board, teaching at the North Woodside Elementary School before her marriage.
In 1969, she married T.D. "Donnie" Tramble and they began their married life in Monastery, Antigonish County. They welcomed their son, Daniel Joseph in 1973.
In 1986, Barbara and Daniel relocated to Dartmouth following Donnie's death in 1985.
Upon her return to metro, Barb was very active in the local art community and was a wonderful painter.
She reconnected with old friends and for many years was a member of luncheon group with ladies from the Sacred Heart. She loved to play the piano and continued to take lessons as an adult. Barb was always ready to get in the car and go on an adventure. She was the best and most appreciative companion.
Barbara was loving and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She loved nature and animals of all kinds.
Her grand-dog Angus was a good pal right up until her passing.
Barbara is survived by her son Daniel (Michelle Purdy) and beloved granddaughters Cadence Delnegro and Abigail Tramble. She is also survived by her dear sister Claire Murphy and Claire's children, Alanna, Shauna, Jim, and their families as well as her brother-in-law, Father Eugene Tramble O.S.A. Marylake, ON.
