Age 75, formerly of La Coruña, Spain, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018. He was the son of the late José Benito Piñein Caamaño and Dominga Caamaño Ribeiro. He immigrated to Canada from Spain in 1971 and spent 38 years working for United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, local 83. After retiring in 2009 his pastimes included walking his dogs Babes and Amy, gardening and watching soccer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Maria Caamaño Tuñas; sons, Benny (Nikki) and Zues (Laura); daughters, Loly (Javier) and Maria (Tomás); grandchildren, Ruben, Diego, Sergio, Zack, Donovan and Santiago; brothers, Pepe, Carlos and Manolo; sisters, Maria and Herminda; nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by brothers, Angelito, Domingos and Rafael. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 15th from 7-9pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, May 16th at 10am in Saint Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 10 Maple St. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
