Carroll loved nature, an independent woodsman, hunter, fisherman. He was practical, resourceful, a “doer” often referred to as the original MacGyver. You always knew where you stood with Carroll, always honest and upfront, a truly good, loving, kind man who lived true to his convictions; a gentleman from another era, quick to lend a hand; had an amazing voice, particularly loved to sing hymns; was a great reciter of poetry. An honorary member of St. Georges Tennis Club. Carroll was a believer that a cup of warm milk, a prayer and a song could get one through anything. He will be incessantly loved and forever missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Jane M. Gardner; grandchildren, Meagan J.Podilchak-Jones (Gavin) and Bree K. Gardner; great grandchildren, Ewan Carroll and Liliya Jones. Carroll was predeceased by his wife Peggy, siblings, Faith, Philip, Richard and Alan
