Phyllis Inkpen and I were borne a few months apart in Charlottetown. She was Phyllis Tulle then we went to school together and when Lorne and  moved to Dartmouth we renewed our friendship. A group of  us joined and met at one of our homes  regularly. . As the years went by our group dwindled until Phyllis and I remained and  we phoned each other often. My last call was answered by a relative. I soon learned that she  had passed away to loin her husband Bob. She will be missed every day and remembered in my prayers.

When I asked mom what her fondest thoughts of Aunt Phyllis were she responded with she kept secrets like a sister and shared love like a friend . She was that special person to me that I could rely on to be honest when I asked her opinion, I will not forget this nor how she helped me to navigate through life. I am sure there will be a lot of cards and cooking as she reunites with her family . Darren and John as well as all of your family members  I am truly sorry for your loss and always here if you need anything.

Aunt Phyllis defined gentle and loving .. 
She lived by the three golden rules ... period...
She knew not how to complain .. ever ...
She opened her door .. always .. and with the open door was always a treat of some sort to enjoy ...    
I will cherish all memories that I have with her ... always ...

You were my friend, my confidant, my grocery shopping buddy and my second Mother. You accepted me into your family with open arms from the moment you met me and treat me as if I was your own daughter. I am so grateful to you for doing such an amazing job raising your wonderful son Darrin who is now an amazing father to our sons Richard and Patrick. You were the best grandmother to them anyone could ever ask for and we will all miss you so terribly. The silver lining is that we know that you are happy to be with your son Richard and your husband Bob again. Love you Nana! 💔

The most wonderful next door neighbour a young family could ever have. Grammie Phyllis and Poppa Bob were there for us all along the way. Whenever I could not find the kids, I would go across the driveway to find them at Phyliss's,  freshly baked cookie in each hand. 
She will be missed and always remembered. The Zwickers  

It is difficult sometimes to find words to describe feelings, and upon learning of Aunt Phyllis’ passing, I could only put my head down and cry for a bit and then smile. I can see her like yesterday; in 1968 I was a 7 year old child first looking at his Aunt Phyllis, and literally staring at her, I could tell right away she was so different. 

I used to read a lot, actually still do and maybe part of that came from Aunt Phyllis, she would quietly encourage me to read, her gentle smile beaming in and through me and I would look at her; when I stated she was different than anyone I had met, it was her kindness to everyone around her that captured my attention. Her tone never wavered, always so gentle and those eyes went into and through anyone she gazed at. I guess what I am trying to say is she exuded love, and that is truly why we exist, to love. People try to teach it, few actually live it and share it without saying a word, that was Aunt Phyllis.

I am so sorry for your loss Darren and John, and all of the family members I have not seen, or even met as the years have passed so quickly. Aunt Phyllis is now with all of her family, the last Tulle from the old Charlottetown homestead. If angels truly walk the earth, on Tuesday we are saying good bye to one that has returned to the afterlife, and we are so much the richer for it. Thanks Aunt Phyllis, I will never forget you, and will always be thankful for what you have shared with us.

Dear Mary, Edie and Tulle and Inkpen family, so very sorry for the loss of Phyllis , one who has been spoken of so sweetly and lovingly by her niece Mary. To us .We felt we knew her with the strength and love she had to share with the family down through the years. Sending my sincere condolences to all Inkpen family. Phyllis was a very sweet  and special lady .. I always admired her faith , and her love of family ..  She was a patient in the dental office I worked and we were members of  St Thomas More Church  where I would see her and Bob .. She always had a big smile and a wave .. My heart is broken to hear of Mrs. Inkpen passing. It feels like losing my own mother all over again. 
She was always so loving and welcoming to all of us as kids , even as we grew into adulthood. She would get upset with us if we knocked on the door instead of simply walking right in.  as we were after all, like family.  At one point, as I had moved out west, it was about fifteen years since I had been to her home, so I knocked on the door. Well, I was scolded for that, I was not to knock but to walk right  in.  
John , Darrin and family, so sorry for your loss, your mother was a very special lady and I loved her dearly.
