One of the last to call me Margie. I remember her with Minnie Steeves as a Guide leader (threatening to do an inspection to see how many safety pins were being used instead of sewing/fixing something) and as the Mom to my long time friends Bev & Joan.  Hugs to the family (the younger 2 do not even know me but that's okay.)

Dearest Emily, from your Secunda family, we are saddened of your loss and know that the days may seem lonely and grey right now, but the sun will shine and the birds will sing once again for you.  Tamara, Victoria, Natasha, Darrell, Harry, Dawn, Lisa, Sheldon, Jennifer, Chris, Cara, Karen, Quentin and Marc.

I want send my sympathy to you, the family of Mrs. Liadlaw. Although I did not know her personally, I have heard many stories of Dorothy and the Laidlaw Family from Beverley and Joan, both of whom I taught with in Dartmouth. My husband, Angus, and I also became acquainted with Rob in recent years. Mrs. Laidlaw was blessed to have a loving family and, as her life began to fail, I know that was a great comfort to her. God will honour each of you for the love and kindness you gave to her. The loss of a mother and wife leaves a void in the family which can never be filled. My most sincere wish is that the loving concern of your family and friends will be a constant source of comfort and encouragement as you begin to learn how to live your lives without her. She now resides with her Lord in Heaven where your Family will someday be reunited.

So sorry to hear of Dot's passing. Her and Elwin were dear friends during our time at Forest Hills Church. Our thoughts and prayers and are the family at this time.

Wishing I could have made the trip out to be with the family. As I flip through the old photos I remember Grammie's home made root beer, the hand made clothes she would make for my dolls and barbies, and the times she spent teaching me how to sew my own stuffed animals. As the offspring of Thelma and Ralph Wooden we are very sad to hear of Mrs Laidlaw's death. We have so many fond memories of visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Laidlaw at their home or our home when we were children, at least 60 years ago. The Laidlaws were very good and precious friends to our parents. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Family, We are sorry for your loss of Dorothy, wife, mother and more.  She will remain in our minds as a dear friend from our early family years in NS.  She taught me everything about true Christian hospitality, and I treasure that example.  Your whole family played a big part in our life then, and we send our sincere love for you all. Ellen and I had the privilege of being Dot and Elwin's family pastor for 13 years. While we grieve her passing we thank God for every remembrance of Dot and her godly life.
