May 17, 1980 - Dec. 23, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric Pilon, 44. He faced with bravery a life of very serious health challenges, and yet always bounced back with his beautiful big smile and cheered everyone up.
He was born in Montreal to Kathy (Sibley) and Francois Pilon. They returned to Nova Scotia when he was six years old.
Eric is survived by his mother, by his sister Sara and her husband Rory Crawford and their children, Rowan, Chace and Clementine, by his foster parents, Kathy and Ed Burton, and by his ONLS community at Princeton House.
Eric had a deep interest in airplanes and pipe organs. He loved people (and cats) and laughing. He was exceptionally friendly and positive, truly an angel amongst us.
We wish to express our gratitude to the countless people who supported and cared for Eric and helped him have a happy and relatively long life.
He is now with his Dad on the other side. And he will remain with us in spirit as an inspiration.
His ashes will be buried in Beach Meadows Cemetery beside those of his father and his grandparents, Peggy (How) and George Sibley.
We are planning to have a social gathering in Eric’s memory on Sunday, January 12 from 1-4 pm at 26 Elliot Street (in downtown Dartmouth). This location is wheelchair accessible and has plenty of parking. All who would like to join us are welcome to drop by.
