Gary Lamont Allen

Allen, Gary Lamont - 61 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully with his family by his side November 4, 2010 in the QEII VG site. Born in Pugwash, he was a son of Lamont and the late Elioza (Mouise) Allen. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh at his own jokes, was always willing to give a helping hand, and also was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Jacqueline; sons, Robin (Jennifer), Jeffery (Jillian), both of Dartmouth, Richard (Cindy), Ontario, Ryan and Joseph, stepson Paul, all of Dartmouth; brothers, Philip (Edna), Carl (Connie), Percy (Kathy) all of Wentworth, Roddy, Pugwash, Frankie (Vickie), Redcliffe, Alta., Darrell, Truro; sisters, Virginia Langille (Alton), Wallace, Betty Mattix, Digby, Bernice Allen (Linda), Amherst, Rosemary MacDonald (Tom), Springhill, Nancy (John) Canfield, Pugwash, Dolly (Angie) Smith, Moncton, NB, Ann Merry (Scott), Halifax; grandchildren, Carrigan, Madeline, Charlotte, Cody, Trent, Chloe, Haylee; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Patty. Visiting today 6-8 pm and Sunday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, where funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, November 8, 2010. Interment will follow in Mount Hermon Cemetery.
