With heartfelt sadness we the children of Jean Pulsifer announce the passing of our beloved Mother on January 2, 2018 at the age of 94. Born on February 11, 1923 in Elderbank, NS to parents Carl and Julia Dillman. She married Cecil Pulsifer in 1941 and they had a family of 6 children. Jean will be sadly missed by her children, Patricia Morrison (Stew), Elaine Capstick Daigle (Warren), Bruce Pulsifer (Barbara), Katherine Pulsifer, Andrew Pulsifer (Christine). Jean was pre-deceased by her daughter, Gwen. She will also be deeply missed by many grandchildren (Duncan, Sue, Chris, Heather, Holly, Kim, Bryce, Jordan, and Cassidy) and many great grandchildren. Jean’s family was the light of her life and she was the light and beacon to her children. There will be an empty place that is not shining at our family gatherings. Jean’s positive attitude was one of her many qualities. She would always say “It will all work out”. Words we will always remember. Jean was employed for 22 years at the Holiday Inn in Dartmouth and made many lifelong friends through her work. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Somme Branch for 34 years as well as an active member of the Dartmouth Seniors Center. Jean was always active and physically fit until a few years ago, and loved her aerobics and friends at the center and especially the teas. Jean leaves behind many friends at her apartment building that were so kind to her. The family would also like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at the QEII for being so helpful at this difficult time. A memorial to Celebrate Jean’s life will be held Friday July 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home Dartmouth. Donations may be made to www.bideawhile.org.
