

It is with extreme grief and profound sadness that we must announce the passing of Judy on January 1, 2025 at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home in Halifax.
She was born at home, 24 Rose Street in Dartmouth, on March 6th 1943. Judith was the second daughter of the late Wilfred and Ethel Mott (nee Clarke). She is predeceased by brothers Garnet and Wilfred Jr. (Buster) and sister Gerine.
She is survived by her husband, longtime partner, lover, and best friend David. Children Kimberley (Wayne) Moore of Fall River, Christopher Austen of Edmonton, Alberta, and Anthony Austen of Dartmouth. Brothers Blaine (Marielle) Mott of Comox, British Columbia, Bruce (Elayne) Mott of East Dalhousie, David (Patty) Mott of Cole Harbour and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
During her earlier years, Judy was very active in her Mothers' Union church group, IODE Mary Lawson group and she was an active member of the seniors elder group swimming at Cole Harbour Place. During retirement, David and Judy spent many happy hours at their summer cottage down in Labelle, Queens County (near Bridgewater) on Molega Lake. In that time they met many wonderful people and new friends and travelled around to many church suppers and yard sales (Judy loved to shop).
Donations in Judith's memory can be made to Hope for Wildlife or the Dartmouth S.P.C.A. Cremation has taken place, there will be no service at this time. When David passes she will be buried with him in Mount Hermon Cemetery.
