Kenneth Wilfred Hines

Our dear dad passed away on February 3, 2018. Born in Woodside on Dec. 8th, 1927, he was the son of Edward and Cecilia Hines and brother of Herbert, Raymond and Freda. A lifelong member of St. Albans Anglican Church, he served as Warden and Credit Union Vice President. Dad also enjoyed his time as a member of the Halifax Gyro Club, where he held the office of President and District Governor, District 6. After retiring as Atlantic Provinces Manager of Barber Ellis Canada Ltd., Dad loved spending time between the cottage at Lewis Lake and his home in Florida. Everyone was welcomed with open arms at either place. Dad so enjoyed playing cards, visiting the Casino, listening to Lawrence Welk on Saturday night or just getting in his car and running to the mall and grocery store. Dad is survived by his wife Charmaine; daughters, Sandra Parker (Ted), Linda Pronovost (Claude); son, Kenneth Hines (Sharon); granddaughters, Suzanne, Michelle, Erin and Deanne; great-grandchildren, Mathieu, Marc, Peter, Kate, Hannah and Will; nieces, Verna, Bertha and Joanne; step sons, Wade and Scott Beaver. Dad ended every conversation with “Love You”. Dad we will always “Love You”. Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 16th at 11am in St. Albans Anglican Church.
