McPhee, Lawrence Henry – 76, of Dartmouth, formerly of Upper Rawdon, Hants Co., passed away on April 2, 2012 in the Q E II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, surrounded by his family. Born in Windsor, July 16, 1935, he was a son of the late Charlie and Florence McPhee. Until his retirement in 1997 he was employed with Otis Elevator Company for 37 years. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Withrow) and daughters, Kristal (Chris Bona) and Karen (Steve Murphy), as well as grandchildren, Jillian and Jacob Bona, Stephanie Vallieres (Phil) and Melanie Murphy and great grand children, Abygael and Noah Vallieres; sisters, Hazel Lingard of Drayton Valley, Alta., and Helen Benedict (Cecil) of Truro; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Ambrose. Visitation on Wednesday, April 4th, from 6 -9 p.m. in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral service on Thursday, April 5th at 11 a.m., Woodlawn United Church, 54 Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth. Rev. Phillip Kennedy officiating. With interment in Upper Rawdon Cemetery.
