

MacDONALD, Lloyd Clarence — 79, of Eastern Passage, passed away peacefully May 10, 2010, in Dartmouth General Hospital with his sisters at his side. Born in Eastern Passage, he was a son of the late Clarence "Ned" and Ruth "Mae" (Ritcey) MacDonald. He was a former employee of Fairy Aviation and retired from IMP in 1990. He was an avid ballplayer and bowler, former little league coach and enjoyed horse racing. He was a member of St. Peters Anglican Church. Surviving are son, Rick (Delilah) Hardy, New Richmond, Que.; stepson, Garnet, Winnipeg; daughter, Deborah Cheverie, Burnaby, B.C.; brother, Robert "Bob" (Sandra), Eastern Passage; sisters, Helena (Bob) Oxner, Dartmouth; Edna MacKenzie, Betty (Clyde) Wambolt, Brenda Hodgson, all of Eastern Passage; grandchildren, Natalie, Nicole, Lea, Andrew, Arron; special friends, Donald Bremner, Mike Myers. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Mary. Visiting today 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 14, in St. Peters Anglican Church, Eastern Passage, Rev. John Ferguson officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
