MACPHERSON, Margaret Anne- 101 died peacefully on May 4, 2023. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland she was the daughter of James and Isabel Barrie, and sister to James. During World War II she served as a plotter in the Woman’s Air Force in southern England. In 1985 Margaret and John immigrated to Canada where she became very active in her church life and a ladies quilting group. She enjoyed many social gatherings and loved to travel up until she became a resident of Glasgow Hall (Shannex) in 2016. Margaret was predeceased in 2012 by John, the love of her life since they met in high school at Leith Academy and is survived by many nieces and nephews in Scotland and Canada. Her nephew, Nelson and his wife, Mary express their sincere appreciation for the thoughtful, caring, and friendly attention she received from the staff members at Glasgow Hall. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date.
