Marie worked as a very gifted seam stress in her younger days, later starting her own sewing business where she shared these talents with friends, family and her community. Family was the center of her life. She lovingly tended to her children while running a small business at home. Even though her days were full, she always made time for her friends and loved ones.
She was funny, caring, thoughtful, and always wanted to be aware of everything going on around her. Friends were made wherever she went in life, with many of them becoming life long bonds.
Marie’s door was always open, so much so that it was often referred to as “Marie’s Tea Room”. You could expect a cup of tea, hugs, laughter and maybe a dance or two during a visit. She loved being around people, music and dancing.
Marie was most fond of her adventures with her best companion, her loving brother Jimmy. They would often be found making sudden plans to go out shopping, dining or to visit friends at the Casino.
Marie will always be loved and remembered by her daughter, Debra, son, Wesley, daughter, Lisa; brother James (Jimmy); and grandson Evan. She was predeceased by her son, Michael; and her brother John.
