Muriel Mary Croft

CROFT, Muriel Mary - age 80, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia passed away on August 6th, 2017 in the Victoria General Hospital. Born in Inverness, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret Carmichael. She grew up in Margaree Valley, Cape Breton and Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She attended Atlantic Bible College in Moncton, N.B. and then began a career with the Royal Bank which spanned in excess of 40 years. Muriel was a loving and devoted grandmother, mother, wife, sister, neighbor and friend. She enjoyed spending time travelling and visiting family and friends. She loved baking, crafts and a good book. She was a member of Stevens Road United Baptist Church where she was active in the Hilltoppers Seniors Group and the Women’s Missionary Society. She is survived by her son Paul (Betty), Dartmouth, daughter Marilyn (Bill) Parsons, Dartmouth, grandchildren Matthew Croft, Sophia Croft, Samantha Parsons, Jessica Parsons and Billy Parsons, as well as sister Joyce Baxter. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Arthur Croft. Funeral service to be held Wednesday, August 9, at 2 pm at Stevens Road United Baptist Church, Dartmouth followed by a reception in the church gymnasium. Burial will take place in the Margaree Valley Baptist Church cemetery, Cape Breton, N.S. Memorial donations to the Stevens Road Baptist Church memorial fund or a charity of your choice.
