

Taylor, Muriel H., Dartmouth - passed away peacefully Friday, March 11, 2011 at the QE II Halifax Infirmary. Born in Denver, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Bessie and Fisher Archibald.
She was a school teacher before moving to Halifax to work in the office at Simpson's.
Muriel was an active member at Iona Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir and was a church elder.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
Survived by her husband of 62 years, Eldon; Pam MacKinnon (Keith), Bedford and their children, Liam and Kyle; brothers, Frank (Murial), Eldon (Olive), and Ray all of Denver, Nova Scotia; sisters, Isabel Porter (Russ), Dartmouth; Hazel Gunn, Antigonish; Ruth MacKay (Jimmy), Truro; sister-in-law, Joyce, Ethel, Marilyn, and Hazel Grimm (Ted); many nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews and special care givers, Dana Taylor and Marcia Gordon.
Predeceased by brothers, Joe (Margie), Clarence, Bob, Harold and John in infancy; sister, Vera (Sterling); brother-in-law, Stewart.
Visitation will be held 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 14 at Iona Presbyterian Church, 90 Lucien Drive, Dartmouth. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Aspen, Nova Scotia. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Muriel may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
