Hey Murray!  I am confident you are still busy meeting all our ancestors you lovingly sought over the years.  I am also smiling thinking of your sense of humor at work on the other side.   Your picture is still on your Skype account!  Ruth and I use it now but I wish it worked so I could see your smiling face.  Love and miss you bro!

I only came to know Murray in the past few years through the work he did in the Temple.  He loved his family, and was determined that they should have the opportunity to be "together forever". I experienced Murray, as kind, gentle and focused on a goal.  Like many of us, the rough edges get smoothed by the passage of time. I look forward to  seeing him with his family again.

It's been just over a year.  We've been through an entire cycle of birthdays, holidays, vacations and family events and it's still strange to not have you there.  We all miss you.  Fortunately, we all have great memories of those same events of the past and that can never be taken away.  Some day we'll see you again and will make new memories.

Ruth and Family,  What a wonderful week we had together.  Everything was perfect.  The service was beautiful; the reception following was lovely; the burial in Tufts Cove Cemetery, where Murray and Gary spent so much time surveying, photographing, cleaning and restoring was truly a miracle.  Thank you for your love and letting us always stay with you and Murray.  So many memories were made.  Our only regret is that Kay couldn't be there with the family this past week.

Ruth and family, I would like to thank you for sharing the most beautiful and moving service yesterday that I have ever witnessed. All the personal touches were amazing and I know Murray would be pleased and proud of all of you.  I have some wonderful memories that Nicole and I cherish and that I am so thankful for. May you draw strength from each other and rest knowing he is at peace.

Aaron, this has been a difficult journey for you.  You have had a relationship with your father and mother as long as you have been here.  This letting go is a necessary, but painful experience I have yet to experience.  You have set an example that I will strive to emulate.

Our Mom always loved you Murray. And I know you loved her back. I can almost see you and her hugging right now,. You are and will be missed until we meet on the other side.

A Father and a Dad
Times in my life I felt quite sad
I had a Father but not a Dad
I would see him one or two months a year
And most times he would make us shed a tear
He didn't care to see us or hear us nearby
To him we were a mosquito or a pesky fly
I played baseball from little league to mid teens 
and there was only one thing I would hope to see
Was my father in the bleachers to watch the game
To see me get a hit or make a great play
He never did come to one of my games
I felt sad and sometimes shame
We were a happy family of that I am glad
But it would have been so much better with a Dad
For many years there was a void in my life
Until I met Sandy my beautiful wife
Sitting in their house in the big comfy chair 
I could definitely tell that her father did care
What made me feel both sad and glad
Was he was her father but also her Dad
Through the 1st years of being with my wife
Murray had become a big part of my life
We golfed in PEI and Indian Lake
And only our pride was ever at stake
If I had any problem I only had to call
And Mr fix-it would be over no complaints at all
He made me feel welcome and showed me he cared
And for this day I could never be prepared
Because all through my life a father I had 
But it was Murray who showed me what it feels like to have a Dad.

To Ruth,Sharon and families,words cannot began to make your sorrow any easier to bear,but they can show how deeply others sympathize and care.Murray will always be dear in our heart for all the kindness he showed  us. Murray always made Brenda and I feel so welcome when we visited Nova Scotia. There was never any doubt who we were going stay with. I will always remember him for his interest in music, dogs, and family history. Sorry for your loss Ruth, Kenny, Aaron and Sandy.
