

The death of Norma Jeanette Fraser, wife of Dr George M. Fraser occurred October 22, 2021.Born in O’Leary, Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Isabelle (Phillips) Campbell. She was predeceased by her sister Nancy (Campbell) Burchill of Ottawa and her husband George. Norma is survived by her children Donald (Linda), Douglas and Katherine (Normand Cléroux) and grandchildren James (Lina Ciporski) and Sarah (Scott Zimmer) and her step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and special nieces Barbara and Alanna and nephews Richard and Kenneth (Burchill). Norma graduated from Prince of Wales College in 1948 and continued her love for education and after her children had received their university degrees, Norma attended Mount Saint Vincent University and obtained her B.A. in 1989. She was an active volunteer and supporter in the Dartmouth Community with Canadian Mental Health, Dartmouth Heritage Society, The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation (Molly Appeal), Multiple Sclerosis Society, SPCA, Bide-Awhile Animal Shelter and many other charities. She loved gardening (she was a member of the Rhododendron Society of Canada), theater, astronomy and her favorite place was her cottage at West Point PEI where she could see all the stars at night. She was an avid bridge player and regularly supported the IWK through the CFUW – Canadian Federation of University Women bridge gatherings. The family would like to thank the caring nurses and staff at Nantucket Lane at Parkland at the Lakes II, Lewis Hall and Kinross Hall.
