Warren is preceded by parents John and Ethel and is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Dorothy, children Julie (Carolyn) and Steven (Cathy), and siblings Joanne, Dawn, Terry, Larry and Pam.
Warren was a devoted husband, loving father and brother, and someone who would give tirelessly of his time, efforts and talents to his family and friends. Warren loved bargain hunting, fishing and hockey (Montreal Canadiens, of course!). Warren served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 33 years; when he retired he was a Chief Petty Officer, first class (CPO1), the most senior non-commissioned member rank of the Royal Canadian Navy. In his retirement years you would most often find him outside at his work bench in the carport, listening to 8-track tapes and rebuilding someone’s washing machine or (his favorite) restoring and repairing lawn mowers. He was always receiving baked goods as thank you gifts for all the household repairs he did for the many people he cared for.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Dartmouth General Hospital for their loving care and support over these last two years.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 24 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home at 217 Portland Street, in Dartmouth, N.S. This service will be live-streamed online for those who cannot attend in person via https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/50244.
