

Parks, William Henry ``Bill``, MWO (Ret`d), CD - 68 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, August 17 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario he was the eldest son of William Henry and Dorothy May (Lennox) Parks. Bill started his career in the Royal Canadian Navy and continued in the Canadian military for 31 years, working for another eight years at IMP before retiring. He was a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force Club, and the Canadian Naval Air Group (CNAG). Bill`s wife Carol was the love of his life, and his daughters and grandchildren meant the world to him. He is survived by, and will be deeply missed by, his loving wife Carol (Fraser), daughters Lynn Wilson, Bedford; Heather Parks, Vancouver; and Andrea Parks, Australia; son-in-laws Stephen Wilson, Guido Furlani, and Chris Parks, his brother, Allan Parks and sister Marcia (Steve) Sparkman, both of Niagara Falls, as well as his sister-in-law Gail Korol of Oakville. He has left a legacy through his cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey Wilson, and Madeline and Charlotte Parks. He will also be greatly missed by family Caree Rae, Jesse Parks and David Sparkman, Chris and May Korol, Heather and Mark Arnold and family, Barb and Bill Murphy and family, Jean Carr and family, as well as dear family friends, Bev and Ed Snelgrove, Don and Nita Bauder, Donita Bauder, Andrew Bauder and family, Ruth Jardine, Ralph and Carol Akerstream and family, and Joan Thomas and family. He was predeceased by his brother Bruce Parks, brother-in-law Bill Korol, and sister-in-law Cathie Parks. A visitation will be held at the Mattatall`s Funeral Home on Thursday, August 18 from 6-8 pm, with a graveside ceremony to take place at 1 pm on Friday, August 19 at Mount Hermon Cemetery in Dartmouth.
