Alene F Ruhl

Alene was born on August 12, 1940 in Jackson County, IA to Glenn & Frances (Elsner) McCallister. She was united in marriage to Gary E. Ruhl on August 22, 1959 in Maquoketa, IA. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2024.

Alene was a loving wife and mom to her children and the entire neighborhood. Her neighbors were important to her and she was grateful for all the help they provided. Alene rooted for the Iowa Hawkeye football, basketball teams and was a huge Caitlin Clark fan. She was an avid reader, loved to cook for her family, & travel, especially to Hatfield, WI & Half Moon Trails, MN. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and her incredible grand & great grandchildren. Alene also enjoyed her happy hour.

Survivors include 3 daughters Tracy Kramer, Jodi (Rod) Bender, & Kerry (Jeremy) Marquette; 7 Grandchildren Dana, Brett, Kendra, Evan, Kacie, Dennis, & Kira; 6 Great grandchildren Remy, Kinsleigh, Nolan, Mason, Hunter, & Reese; Special friend Michelle; sister Susan Carlin; & brother Jack McCallister.

Alene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Mick & Bub McCallister, and a sister Bev Ford.
