
Ann S. Heath, 102, passed away, Monday, March 14, 2016, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. Ann was born October 17, 1913, in Sibley, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University in 1934 with a degree in Home Economics. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and The Order of the Knoll.
Ann was an 84 year member of the P. E. O. Sisterhood. At the time of her death she had been the longest living member of that Sisterhood in the world. She was the organizing president of her current chapter, CQ (Dallas, Texas). She held many offices on the Dallas P.E.O. Council and was elected to the Texas State Board of P.E.O. and served in all seven officer positions. Following her term as Texas State President, she was appointed to a subsidiary board of the International Chapter of P.E.O. where she served on the Board of Trustees of the P.E. O. Educational Loan Fund. She was a 19 year volunteer at the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and active in several book and study clubs. She was one of the founding members of the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas.
She is survived by her sons John Heath, Bettendorf, Iowa, and James (Rachael) Heath, Santa Fe, New Mexico, grandchildren Chris Heath, Geneseo, Illinois, Deborah (Tim) Christian, Redmond, Washington, Michael Heath, Seattle, Washington, Craig Heath, Mill Valley, California, Jeanne (Peter) Conklin, San Rafael, California, and Kristy (Julio) Sansores, Corte Madera, California. Ann also had five great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Spring of 2016 in the Chapel of the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, any gifts may be sent to the P.E.O. Foundation, 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa 50312.
