

Anna “Anne” Mueller, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2012. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, March 28th from 4 - 7 p.m. at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, 1200 East 39th Street, Davenport, IA. Funeral services at 10 a.m Thursday, March 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1122 West Central Park, Davenport, IA.Private interment will be at the Big Sandy Cemetery, Dallardsville, TexasAnna was born at Fort Scott, Kansas on Sept. 13, 1932, the daughter of Otto H. Praeuner and his wife, Helene (nee Brandt). She attended local Lutheran parochial elementary schools and graduated from St. John’s Academy, Winfield, Kansas in 1950.She taught in Lutheran schools in the Houston area, teaching kindergarten and elementary classes. Later she worked for Proler International for fifteen years.On December 22, 1951 she married Clinon Edward Cox. This union was blessed with four children. Edward died on August 31, 1979. Anne married Gilbert “Gib” Mueller on July 6, 2002 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Kingwood, Texas.Preceding her in death in addition to Edward were her parents, two sisters, Lorna (Reith) and Donna (Mueller) and a grandson, Matthew Cox.Surviving are her husband, Gib, of Davenport, IA, sons and spouses, Gene Cox (Nancy) of Dayton, Tx., Terry Cox (Terry Lynn) of New Caney, Tx., and Tim Cox (Sarah) of Dickinson,TX.; a daughter, Brenda Burke (Scott) of Seabrook, TX., 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; stepdaughters, Michelle Greear of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and Starla (Tim) Bremel of Orfordville, Wisconsin; also stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorials in her memory may be made to Genesis Hospice,American Can cer Society, Trinity Lutheran Church
