Anthony Lee Wilson, whom was born in Rock Island, IL on June 25, 1964, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, IA from congestive heart failure. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Vineyard Church of Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the church, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of sending flowers, Anthony wanted the cost to be donated to the American Heart Association for heart research. Anthony was united in marriage to Donna Blake on March 3, 1990 in Clarinda, IA. He was a dedicated hard worker who proudly worked at Tyson’s Fresh Meat in Joslin, IL for 15 years. Although he did many different jobs while employed at Tyson, he retired in 2018 as a tech operator. Anthony loved hanging out with his family and playing games such as dominos, spades and chess. He loved all sports especially Chicago Bears football. He was very active in playing basketball, Tug Fest, drawing, mirror etching, water gun/balloon fights with the children and grandchildren, and most of all, pumping iron in the weight room. However, nothing in the world could compare to his love for hanging out with his wife, Donna. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Donna Wilson; sons, Zachary (Nacole) Wilson and Anthony Wilson; daughters, Santana Mendez (Sal Valencia) and Tammie (Andrew) Lamfers; grandchildren: Aziana and Dahani Valencia-Mendez, Ajah, Malik, Micah, Zachary, Messiah and Baby R. Wilson; two brothers and five sisters. Preceeding Anthony Wilson in death is his father, Lewis “LT” Wilson; mother, Clara Strickland-Wilson; and sister, Wanda Wilson-Ocloo.
