Arthur L. Hotle, 88, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Ridgecrest Village Senior Center. A private family service was held at Runge Mortuary. Following was the burial at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Arthur was born December 29, 1925 in Keota, IA, the son of Jacob and Dorothy (Meyer) Hotle. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On December 31, 1952, he was united in marriage to Joellen Ollinger. He started the Hotle dairy processing plant in Keota while farming. In 1963 he moved to Davenport as an electrical engineer employed by Bendix. Later became Human Resources Director of Litton Industries. Upon retiring in 1991, he enjoyed fishing, family and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Joellen Hotle (Davenport), daughters, Marla (Mark) Mernitz, Eau Claire, WI, Polly (Kirk) Graham, (Davenport) IA, Libby (Brian) Pantzlaff, Omaha, NE, and Amanda (Todd) Green, Buffalo, MN; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
