Bettie Ann Schlosser

Bettie Ann Schlosser, 79, of Bettendorf passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:00 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com. Bettie was born September 15, 1934 in Middletown, IL; the daughter of Walter Edwin and Helen Irene (Montgomery) Lloyd. She was united in marriage to Edward Schlosser on June 10, 1960 in Bettendorf; they had two children, Tom who passed away in 2001 and David. Her husband preceded her in death in 1993. She had worked at Sivyer Steel for twenty years prior to working for the Corps of Engineers where she retired in 1993, after fifteen years of service. She was very involved with her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going out for lunch with her friends; loved her work, crocheting and seek-and find puzzles. Those left to honor her memory include her son, Dave (Debbie) Schlosser, Bettendorf; grandchildren: Mike (Janell) Schlosser, Grimes, IA; Kimberly (Mathew) Gleason, Grimes, IA; Marissa Schlosser, Rochester, MN; Krysten Schlosser and Blake Schlosser, both of Bettendorf; great grandchildren: Huxley Gleason, Kaley Schlosser and Deagan Gleason; sister, Janice Dorrell, IL; brother, James (Ann) Lloyd, Tremont, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Tom in 2001.
