Betty June Ganzer

Betty J. Ganzer, 91, of Donahue passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center West Wing Place, DeWitt. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2017 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Betty was born June 30, 1926 to Frank and Lillie (Siebel) Engler and lived in rural Donahue, IA all her life. Betty was united in marriage to Willis Ganzer on March 5, 1949. Together they built their family farm where she enjoyed her flower garden and helped milk cows. Willis preceded her in death in 1976. Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Marlo (Mike) Laing, Jim (Pat) Ganzer, Dean (Tina) Ganzer, Pam (Curt Conrad) Rathjen, Carol (Bob) Simonson, Patricia (Dave Butler) Ganzer-Holland and Tom Ganzer; grandchildren: Tracy VandenBerg, Tonia Laing, Adam (Sarah) Ganzer, Kyle (Stephanie) Ganzer, Kela (Dan Wheeler) Ganzer, Janelle (Dean) Maiers, Randy (Amanda Broiher) Wulf, Tara (Jason) Goettsch, Nick (Shannon) Simonson, Cory (Marsha) Simonson, Nate (Danielle Larivere) Simonson, and Willis (Amanda) Holland; great grandchildren: Ryan VandenBerg, Olivia Ganzer, Aubry Caldwell, Emmett Ganzer, Dayna and Ronnie Maiers, Blakely and Brynn Goettsch, Emmitt Broiher, Melania Wulf, Austin Conrad, Trace and Kinsley Simonson, Breanna and Braden Bartels and Hallie and Brittney Holland.

She is preceded by her parents, loving husband, brother, Floyd “Babe” Engler, and sister, Marilyn Eller.
