Betty A. Mosher

Memorial services for Betty Mosher, 80, of Moline, IL will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Bethel Wesley Methodist Church – 1201 13th Street in Moline, IL. Family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Mrs. Mosher passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.Betty Ann Lippens was born in Kewanee, IL on October 10, 1929, a daughter of Frank and Ruth (Hocker) Lippens. She was a graduate of Rock Island High School. On July 24, 1948, she married Martin L. Mosher Jr. in Henderson County. They enjoyed spending time at the beach in South Padre during the winter months. He preceded her in death in 2003. Mrs. Mosher worked for 17 years as a manager of the camera and jewelry departments at Kmart. Following her retirement, she worked in the cafeteria at United Township High School. She enjoyed going to the Moline Senior Center to play cards as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.She is survived by a Daughter: Vickie (Ken) Roberts of Moline, IL; three Sons: Wayne (Julie) Mosher of Mississippi, Gary Mosher (fiancé, Joan Marsted) of Idaho, Scott (Kristy) Mosher of Port Byron, IL; a Sister: Dorothy (LeRoy) Jones of Muscatine, IA; nine Grandchildren and four Great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Sue.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA or to Bethel Wesley Methodist Church in Moline, IL.
