Betty Arlene Olson

Betty A. Olson, 80, of Davenport passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Davenport Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the mortuary. She was born November 28, 1931 in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of Edward and Harriett (Bush) Wilsey. On March 10, 1956 she married Rolland E. Olson (Sr.) in Davenport. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1994.

Mrs. Olson was employed as a nurses aide prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Davenport Eagles Club and enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include her children and spouses: Harriett and Dale Edwards, Debbie Van Buskert, Robert Van Buskert, Jr., Rosemary Jackson, Rolland E. (Jr.) and Tina Olson, Ivan P. Olson and Annette O’Donnell, and Dina and James (Sr.) Tayloe; numerous grand and great grandchildren; and two sisters Florence Tayloe and Maxine Rayburn. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia, three sisters, and two brothers.
