Beverly Gayle Baker, 78, of Davenport Iowa passed away Monday, March 16, 2026. Per Bev’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com
Beverly was born on January 17, 1948, in Davenport, Iowa to Robert and Leota (VanFossen) Baker. She graduated from Davenport West High School. She was married to David Leo Hogarty and despite their union ending in divorce they remained lifelong friends. Bev had many jobs throughout her life helping others. Her focus was on customer service. She retired in 2015.
Bev loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She was a talented artist even though she did not believe she was. She will be loved forever and missed always.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Andrew D. Hogarty, Jenna E. Hogarty; sister, Roberta Potter and several furry grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Baker and sister, Bonnie Baker.
