Beverly Jean Neese

Beverly J. Neese,80, of East Moline, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 5-7 PM at The Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family. Online tributes and condolences may be made at wwww.therungemortuary.com.

Beverly Jean Neese was born on December 28, 1945, in New London, Iowa. Her mother was Vera Marie Neese. She grew up in Davenport with her brothers and sisters.

At 18, she married Richard Yeater in 1963 and had a son David Joe Yeater in 1964 and another son Ronald Lee Yeater in 1967. Beverly divorced Richard Yeater in 1967. Beverly married Eli Gaskey in June of 1968. They had a daughter named Jodell L. Gaskey. Bev and Eli were married until October of 1980 when Eli passed. Beverly met another man named Archie Day. They were married April 10, 1981.

Beverly went to Scott Community College and earned a degree in Licensed Practical Nursing. She worked for the Sisters of Humility in Davenport. Beverly met Chuck Matejchek in 2000. They were married. She divorced Chuck and moved to Illinois.

Beverly enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, and completing puzzles. She was loved by her family and friends. Beverly was a collector of angels and loved her pets.

She is survived by her son David and Margaret Yeater; Amber and Tony Smith(Granddaughter), Ashley and Patrick Nagle( Granddaughter). Daughter Jodell Plavak; Jasmine Gaylord(Granddaughter), James Plavak(Grandson), Jade Plavak(Granddaughter) Levi Lucas. Beverly had several great-grandchildren Vincent, Logan, Jaxtyn, Layton, Ledger and Hailie.

Preceded by her parents, and her son Ronald Yeater.
