

Cameron B. Wold passed away peacefully after a heroic battle with cancer surrounded amongst her children and family on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.Cameron “Camy” Brooks Rathbun was born on March 17, 1954, the daughter of John Rathbun. She married Robert “Willy” Wold on April 7, 1978 in Donahue, IA. During their 34 years of marriage, Camy and Willy shared a strong passion and devotion for their family and both served as a beautiful team while raising their beloved children. Cameron was well known for her gentleness, her over flowing love, her patience, and her profound ability to help others heal. She put the need of others first on most occasions. Cameron lived in a humble manner and her charitable aspirations were continuous and abundant throughout her life. The life of Cameron was full of adventure, full of energetic spirit, and full of positivity. She made everyone smile and laugh as her joy and sense of humor were two of her most powerful strengths. Mom found peace traveling or simply being in the company of her family, friends and animals. Cameron worked at US West from 1978 to 1995 as a phone service technician. She then worked as a massage therapist serving as a healer, a teacher, and a mentor to many at several places including Durant Chiropractic, Capri College and Cameron Wold Wellness Center.Cameron most enjoyed going to church where she found comfort, refuge and serenity. Most recently, she attended Northridge Community Church and had attended Heritage Church in the past. She served as a volunteer massage therapist for RAGBRAI along with serving as a volunteer at her church.Survivors include her daughter; Cameron E. Wold and her fiancé, Dylan Broihier of Eldridge, son; Andrew “Bubba” and wife Megan Wold of Davenport, grandchildren; William Michael Wold, Aidan Broihier, Maisy Broihier, brother; Kevin Rathbun of Preemption, IL, step-brother; Mark Wedemeyer of Donahue, step-sister; Marla Wedemeyer of Donahue, and sisters-in-law; Robin Thune of Blue Grass, and Pam Willis of Parkview.She was preceded in death by her father and husband.Memorials may be directed to Northridge Community Church and flowers may be sent to 3211 S. 26th Ave. Eldridge, IA 52748.Remembrances and condolences may be made to the family at www.cunnick-collins.com.Memorial services for Cameron B.
