Carol was born on June 13, 1939, in Harper, Iowa to Raymond and Viola Adam. After her family moved to Taylor Ridge, Illinois, Carol graduated from Alleman High School and married Leo (Buzz) Jipp. For the next decade, Carol lived in Bettendorf, Iowa, devoting herself to raising two active sons, Greg (born 1960) and Gary (1962).
In 1976, Carol re-married Ben Morgan, with whom she spent the next 42 years in a happy and loving marriage that took them to a waterside home Clearwater, Florida. While there, Carol opened and successfully ran her own interior design agency. Together with Ben, Carol was a great lover of boating, and they became enthusiastic and committed members of the Lindsay Yacht Club and Clearwater Yacht Club.
Throughout her life, Carol was best known for her vitality and spirit. For her, the glass was always half-full, and a laugh was never out of reach. It was this positivity and vigor which allowed her to beat colorectal cancer and a failed hip operation in her 60s. She adored her family and her friends, and was equally beloved in turn by all.
Carol is survived by her sons, Greg Jipp (Heidi Seng) and Gary (Wendy) Jipp, a daughter-in-law Nancy Jipp, a step-daughter Julie Morgan and a step-son Jeffrey (Marilyn) Morgan, as well as seven grandchildren (Alan, Jacob, Kelsey, Zachary, Lindsey, Ashley and Taylor) and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Weerts Funeral Home.
