Chuck W. Schwartz

Private graveside services were held for Charles “Chuck” W. Schwartz, 74, at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery. Mr. Schwartz passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at St. Mary’s Healthcare and Rehab Center in Davenport. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements. Charles Wayne Schwartz was born on March 31, 1942 in Buffalo, NY, the son of Milton and Helena (Mendola) Schwartz. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On July 19, 1982, he married Juanita Meade in Las Vegas, NV. Chuck worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 145 in Moline, IL. He was a former member of the Davenport Moose Lodge, and the Moline American Legion – Post 246. Chuck enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling, and taking pictures. He is survived by his Wife of 34 years: Juanita Schwartz of Davenport; two Sons: Greg (Teresa) Schwartz of North Liberty, IA, Todd (Roberta) Schwartz of Lawrence, KS; two Step-Children: Richard (Melissa) Black of Tyrone, GA, Christine (Scott) McKay of Hampton, IL; Siblings: Don Schwartz of Ronart Park, CA, Linda (Larry) Dunlap of East Moline, IL; a Granddaughter: Alexa; Step-Grandchildren: Jessica, Nicholas, Mitchell, Kaeden, Brent, Terrah; several nieces and nephews; and his two Dogs: Lady and Zoey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
