On December 28, 1963, he and Charlotte (Greene) were united in marriage at Union Congregational Church in Waupun, Wisconsin.
Clarence dedicated a significant amount of time to volunteering, first in various roles at his church and then with Habitat for Humanity Lakeside. Clarence served on the organization’s initial board of directors and later spearheaded the founding of Lakeside Habitat’s ReStore.
