

Clifford Henry Langlais, 91, passed away at the Kahl Home in Davenport, Iowa on September 9, 2025. He was born in Rumford, Maine, and graduated from Waterbury High School in Connecticut. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served for 10 years.
On January 21, 1956, Clifford married Louise Stebens in Corpus Christi, Texas and the pair started a family. During his Navy career, the family lived in several states, including Texas, California, and Rhode Island, before settling in Davenport at the end of his service. Clifford worked for many years as a supervisor at the J.I. Case Plant in Bettendorf and later started his own locksmith business.
In Clifford’s free time, he enjoyed woodworking, watching John Wayne Westerns, golfing, and spending holidays with his family. Clifford was a man who loved deeply and will be missed by those who knew him.
Survivors include his children; Rev. Michael (Mary) Langlais, Vicki (Dennis) Owen, and Lisa (David) Wolfe; grandchildren, Thomas Ketner, Betsy Ketner, Michael Langlais, Daniel Langlais, Rachel (Alex) Franchilli, Rebecca Langlais, Matthew Langlais, Jacob Reynolds, Ryan (Leigh) Thompson, Wesley (Jammie) Jamieson, Jessica (Keith) Dickens, and Kimberlee Wolfe, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise; beloved daughter, Deborah Ketner; grandsons, Jason Ketner and Seth Reynolds; granddaughter, Zara Langlais, and his siblings Donald, Rita, Guy, and Chet.
Per Clifford’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A committal service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2025 at Pinehill Cemetery. Condolences and fond memories may be shared at www.WeertsFH.com
