Clifford N. Small

Clifford N. Small, 71, of Davenport, passed away at his home per his wishes, with his family by his side on Friday, October 1, 2010. Per his request, cremation rites were accorded and there will be no visitation or services. Memorials or sympathy cards may be sent to the family in care of the Runge Mortuary. Clifford was born November 4, 1938 in LaCrosse, WI, the son of Roger and Myrtle (Snyder) Small. He was united in marriage to Gertraude Dembach on May 19, 1979 in Rock Island.

Clifford served in law enforcement from 1969 until his retirement in 1999. Clifford was a most loving and generous man who always put others needs ahead of his own. He deeply loved his wife and all of his children and will be greatly missed by his family.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Traudi (Trudy), Davenport, children: Richard Small, Davenport, Colleen Long, Palm Springs, CA, Jerry Gott, Davenport, Yvonne Fontenoy, Davenport and Bridget Millage, Woodland Hills, CA; grandchildren: Lance and Kyle Long, Tiffany Reece, Christopher Lopez, Danielle and Adam Miller, Ryan and Justin Millage, 4 great grandchildren and his beloved dog, TyNee.
