Connie Sue Ackerman

She married the love of her life, John (Jack) Ackerman, on June 4, 1966, and together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Connie was preceded in death by her Parents William and Lorraine (Ralph O’Grady) her brother Mike Conger (Davenport), Son in Law Charles (Tray) Schuldt, and her beloved son Christopher (Chris) Ackerman (Davenport).

She is survived by her husband Jack; her daughter Barbara Schuldt (Bettendorf); and her son Michael (Mike) Ackerman/Lynn Ackerman (Davenport) and Cousin/ Sister Debbie Gomez (Davenport), and sister-in-law Sunny Horstman (Bettendorf).

She found her greatest joy in being a grandmother. Nothing brought her more happiness than the time spent with her beloved grandchildren: Eric (Thasha), Christopher (Katie), Lexie (Joe), Mary (Jared), Ashley (Matthew), Eryn (Steven) and great grandchildren: Ava, Alana, Lucy, Leighton, Brewer, Jordin, Asher and Collins and new baby girl Aili on the way that has already been showered with love.

Connie had a deep love for traveling, especially taking her grandchildren on magical trips to Disney World. She cherished time with her family, and the holidays, particularly Christmas, were her absolute favorite. Her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Cremation will be done. The family will greet friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Runge Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 12:00pm in the Runge Chapel.
