Funeral services for Damon “Jay” J. Snider, 48, of Bettendorf will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport. The family will greet friends Friday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Snider passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his residence. Damon Jay Snider was born on May 20, 1965 in Moline, IL, the son of Georgia Ann Snider. He worked in satellite installation at QC Satellite. Jay loved watching football, especially the Chicago Bears. He was an avid mountain biker and also had a passion for 80’s rock and music in general. He was very proud of his Native American heritage. He is survived by three Daughters: Sarah (Christopher) Donahue of Davenport, Shelby Snider of Davenport, Alexis Snider of Silvis, IL; his Mother: Georgia “Ann” (Joseph) Seier of Davenport; a Brother: Derek Snider of Davenport; an Aunt and Uncle: Margret and John Davis of Davenport; and three Grandsons. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Snider and Georgia “Nana” Burkhart. Memorials may be directed to the family.
