Danny Whitfield

Danny Whitfield, 58 of Davenport passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2017. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Gospel Mission Temple, 5074 North Pine Street, Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Danny was born on January 7, 1959 in Crawfordsville, AR the son of Willie Tate and Castella Whitfield. He was a talented Journeyman Carpenter for 40 years. Danny was a very hard worker who was extremely motivated. He was inspirational and enjoyed sharing his knowledge.

Danny was a very caring and giving man, always willing to help anyone. Danny loved people, especially his family. He was a great supporter for his younger siblings, making sure everyone was fed. He was always there for them in times of need. He will be remembered for his love of celebrating and his sense of humor, always making people laugh.

DW was a cowboy and loved his country music. He was a car and truck enthusiast.

Survivors include his children: Tierra Whitfield, Daniel Whitfield (Sarah Campbell), Danita Whitfield, Nathan (Alexis) Conklin and Archie Lewis; parents, Castella McMahan, and Willie Tate, nine grandchildren, nine siblings, and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Archie Whitfield and uncle, Nathan Kimbrough.
