Dennis Lee West, 64, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014, at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.

Dennis was born July 2, 1949 in Davenport, IA; the son of Marion and Rozella (Dodds) West. He was united in marriage to Rose Nopies on June 12, 1978 in the Philippines.
He proudly served in the Navy for twenty-two years and later worked as a residential technician for the State of Iowa for twenty-three years. He loved fishing, hunting and helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Rose, Davenport; son and daughter-in-law, Jun and Silvia, Davenport and four grandchildren: Mychaela, Junelle, Jeffrey and Valentina. He was preceded in death by his parents.
