A memorial service for Donald “Max” M. Peppers-Enoch, 57, of Davenport will be held this summer, with details to follow at a later date. Max passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements. Donald Mack Enoch was born on May 6, 1959. He was a 1977 graduate of Davenport West High School. Max worked for Kraft Heinz for 28 years before retiring in March of 2016. He was a former member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He was a volunteer for Toys for Tots, Santa’s throne at the Festival of Trees, Friends of Credit Island, and also a member of UFCW Local 431. Max was known for his adventurous and free spirit. He enjoyed camping, bonfires, hiking, boating, gardening, flying kites, fishing, and teaching kids how to fish. Max loved traveling, especially to National Parks. At home he enjoyed watching western movies, in particular John Wayne movies. He had a passion for helping individuals with special needs, and children often gravitated to him, most likely because he was a kid at heart! Max loved helping out at the Indian Pow-Wows and Floatzilla. He was known for his collection of wild and crazy hats, thanks to Mike and Kelly. Above all, Max loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his Wife: Robin Peppers-Enoch of Davenport; Children: Donny (Emily) Enoch of Oregon, Dustin Enoch of LeClaire, IA, Amanda Peppers of Davenport; Mother: Rosemary Enoch of Davenport; Siblings: Darrell (Peige) Enoch of Texas, Don Enoch Jr. of Alaska, Roger Smith of Grand Mound, IA, Sally Plies of Davenport, Kelly (Michael) Marbury of Davenport; Grandson: Oren Enoch of Oregon; Best Friends: Mike Marbury, Roger Smith, Van Willows, Dick Lamb; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as the Halligan, Peppers, and Brunning families. He was preceded in death by Don Enoch, Uncle John Halligan, Mary McVay, and Darrell Brunning. In lieu of memorials, remember Max by spending a little extra time with your family, lending a hand to someone in need, and by living life to the fullest every day.
