Donna A. Postel

Funeral services for Donna A. Postel, 55, of Davenport, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. A private burial and graveside service will be held on Thursday at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery. Mrs. Postel died on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at her residence following a lengthy illness.Donna Adele Newton was born on February 2, 1955 in Davenport. The daughter of Harry and Josephine (Ogden) Newton. She received her high school diploma from the Davenport Community School District. She married Donald Quick in Davenport and later married Bradford Postel on May 3, 2008 in Davenport. Donna worked for many years at the Ridgecrest Retirement Village as a housekeeper. She enjoyed attending garage sales, crafting, flower gardening and especially animals.Surviving members of the family include – her Husband: Brad of Davenport; a Daughter: Rebecca Quick of Davenport; a Son: James (Jessica) Quick of Davenport; a Sister: Sherry (Rick) Atwater of Davenport; 2 Brothers: Willie (Laura) Newton of Davenport and Donald (Tammy) Newton of Clinton; and a Grandson: Andrew.She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles.
