Dorothey "Dottie" Williams

Dorothey "Dottie" Schlindwein Williams, 53, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Sheffield, Ill., died Monday, April 13, 2015 in Genesis East Hospital, Davenport, Iowa. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, April 16, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, 838 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport, Iowa 52807. Dorothey was born Dec. 24, 1961, in Sacramento, Calif., to Eugene Sr. and Peggy Schlindwein.

She was a graduate of Western High School, Buda, Ill., in 1979. She was also Sheffield Homecoming Queen. Dorothey worked as a dietary manager at St. Mary's Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Davenport.

She is survived by her parents; one son, Luke Schlindwein (Lauren Blough) of Peru, Ill.; one daughter, Maria Johnson (Cory Buchanan) of Burlington, Iowa; her significant other, Samuel Hedrick of Davenport, and his three children, Joey, Kellie and Katie Hedrick; one step-daughter, Joyce (Nick) Taylor of Ottumwa and her five children; one brother, Mark Schlindwein of Princeton, Ill.; two grandchildren, Nathaniel Johnson and Stella Schlindwein, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, one step-daughter, Georgia Gum, one brother, Gene Schlindwein Jr. and one niece, Heather Schlindwein.
