Dorothy M. Jorgensen-Arp, 97, of Davenport, Iowa passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Visitation to honor her memory will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Weerts Funeral Home. Funeral service will be private. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials in Dorothy’s name may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.
Dorothy was born on November 25, 1927, in Harvey, Illinois to Edward and Ethel Klinck. She was united in marriage to Robert “Sonny” Jorgensen on February 22, 1947; he passed away in 1998. She later married Harold Arp on April 6, 2002; he passed away in 2007. Dorothy worked as the lead cashier at Geifmans Grocery for many years. She loved to spend time with her family and greatly enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Jerry (Ellen) Jorgensen and Carol (Michael) Reistroffer; grandchildren Maren Jorgensen, Christopher (JennyBeth) Jorgensen, Shannon (Chuck Park) Buckley, and Ryan (Lisa) Flaherty; great-grandchildren Ottilie Jorgensen, Sophie and Sam Buckley, and Micah and Noah Flaherty; and her brother William Klinck.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Robert “Sonny” and Harold; her parents Edward and Ethel; her brother Roland Klinck; and sister Gerri Lee.
