Eric S. Whipple

& Clinics. A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 1:00 to

4:00 at the United Methodist Church in Preemption IL.

Eric was born on October 15, 1970 in Peoria, IL to Steven and Clarity Whipple. He graduated from

Rock Island High School in 1988. He worked as a truck driver for the Crouse Cartage Company until they

closed, and then worked as a diesel technician for many years until he got into management.

Eric enjoyed dirt track racing, as well as working on cars and trucks. He was a fan of the St. Louis

Cardinals and Oakland Raiders. He loved going to St. Louis for Cardinals games and shared this love with his children.

He is survived by sons, Tyler Whipple, and Matt Whipple; daughter, Kaelyn Whipple; daughter-in-law,

Heather Thompson; granddaughter, Harleigh Whipple; his mother, Clarity Backbone; aunts Sandy

Whipple Martens, and Linda Ryan; and uncles, John Whipple, and Keith Rexroat.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Steven; and grandparents, Ike and Helen Whipple, and George

and Betty Rexroat.
